Football 79-80

An innovative design marked Transimage's arrival - although the collection can't have been a big seller, as it was never followed up and little is known about the company. Nevertheless, these stickers offer an interesting spin on the format. The stickers were manufactured in pairs, and are half the size each of a standard sticker. The black borders are a little over-bearing, and the page layouts are almost random, with the stickers looking like they've been thrown onto the page like a dropped pack of cards. "Different" is the word which springs to mind. Incidentally, these photos are clearly taken at the same shoot as those used by Panini the previous season, and FKS this same year, although they are different snaps. (Gary Shelton [26] appears to have been photographed on a separate occasion however.)

Sticker backs
The fairly basic information on the backs includes a large sticker number, and each player's vital statistics.
