Villa's team was in Division 2, and Panini's usual policy was to only feature full squads for Division 1 sides. Therefore, Villa had much less coverage in the new Panini album, although they were given the usual team photo and club badge stickers - plus a couple of extras for good measure. You can just about make out the hideous kit in the team photo (better views of which could be had in the next album). The shirt design was one which a few English clubs adopted, including Coventry and Southampton, and - alas - Villa. Whatever happened to the famous "claret shirts with sky blue sleeves"?
Other stickers of interest
The sticker album had a section called "Panini in Football", which included an endorsement from the new Villa manager. Accordingly a photograph of him was featured [277]. Next to it went [279], a circular sticker linking Villa with Panini. Taylor was included again, in a section called "2nd Division Heroes", on the page just prior to the start of the Division 2 team stickers [401].
