The pages of Football 86 show the arrival of more new faces including the re-appearance of fans' favourite, Andy Gray, returning after successful spells at Wolves and Everton. Steve McMahon had already gone by now, and shouldn't have appeared as sticker [33]. Panini's main innovation in the sticker set was the use of holographic paper on the team badge, in the days when this was a new invention!

This sticker featuring Shaw and Withe appeared in the centre pages, in a feature celebrating England's recent successes in European club competitions. This cartoon was included in a novelty section called "Also Known As", caricaturing each First Division club's nickname. This sticker showing the front cover of Aston Villa's match programme appeared in a feature called "Collectors' Corner".
